I've reached breaking point.
10 months now, and all I've heard is how inept, stupid and worthless I am.
NOTHING about the patients I've helped, nothing about my securing 4th position in semester finals, etc.
For once, just for once I'd like to hear something nice about myself.

It is not self-pity; how I hate that word. You said it yourself, you can't function like a robot! You're AMAZING. You get that? AMAZING. Just keep doing your thing, end mein tumhain jo satisfaction mill jayegi na, it'll be worth it. Like, the patients you helped? Tumhee toh kayhti rehti ho kay how you learn so much from the kids and stuff. The fact that you think that way, that's what makes you special, Maryam. You are very, very special. Hug le lo *tight hug* Hang in there. One of these days I might surprise you by landing up on your doorstep, phir we'll live awesome amazing lived together, ok? It's not IMPOSSIBLE. And god knows I want it to happen :(

i wonder who is that says all that to u... they cant be someone who are very close to u or even care for u to use such words...:)
then how can u even care for them or wat they say... try to tune into ppl who truly make a difference in ur life and only seek them for approval if u ever need...
and if this is ur own inner voice then make a pact to never heed it...:) u r worth it... even if u r not perfect... for ur record not a single soul residing this world is...:) i know it hurts when someone close to u physically cannot assure u of how good u r... but aisa ik to hoga...aur woh ik bhi kaafi hai for the time being unless the rest drop by...and they will if u stop clinging on to those who arent into u...:)
